David H. Wells is an editorial photographer with auroraphotos.com. His photojournalism has appeared in the magazines of The New York Times and The Philadelphia Inquirer. “When I was young and growing up in a small town in Kentucky, popular magazines like National Geographic helped me feel connected to the wider world. Witness is the kind of magazine that appeals to the grown-up version of that child–the person who wants to see and encounter the world in the beauty and complexity that only great writing can provide.”
Witness’ winter 2013 issue (XXVI.3) is now live. Contents include poetry and fiction by Nate Haken, Emily Elbom, Risa Mickenberg, Gillian Hamel, Ely Shipley, Maxine Chernoff, Claudia Keelan, and Adam Strauss.
