Albena Stambolova
Albena Stambolova's 2002 debut novel, Everything Happens As It Does, was translated from the Bulgarian by Olga Nikolova and published by Open Letter in 2013. She has also published the novels Hop-Hop the Stars (2003) and Adventure for the Time to Pass (2007), as well as the story collection Three Dots and a psychoanalytic study on Marguerite Duras, Malaise in Death (2004). She earned her MA in psychology from University of Paris VII Jussieu and lives in Bulgaria, where she works as a psychotherapist and consultant.
