Joyelle McSweeney
Joyelle McSweeney is the author of six books of poetry and prose, most recently Salamandrine: 8 Gothics (Tarpaulin Sky Press 2013) and Percussion Grenade (Fence 2012), each of which includes a play. Her play Dead Youth, or, the Leaks was selected to inaugurate the Leslie Scalapino Prize for Innovative Women Playwrights and is forthcoming from Litmus Press this fall. This winter, The Necropastoral: Poetry, Media, Occults, a book of poetics essays, will appear from the University of Michigan Poets on Poetry Series. She teaches at Notre Dame, edits Action Books, contributes to Montevidayo, and lives in South Bend, Indiana.
