Micah Dean Hicks writes fabulism, modern fairy tales, and other kinds of magical stories. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in publications such as New Letters, Indiana Review, New Orleans Review, and Baltimore Review. His story collection, Electricity and Other Dreams (New American Press 2013), received a starred review from Publishers Weekly. He attends the creative writing PhD program at Florida State University.
