She is a recipient of a Washington State Artist Trust Fellowship; author of A Year of Silence, winner of the 2012 Jeanne Leiby Memorial Chapbook Award for Fiction from the Florida Review Press; a three time Flannery O'Connor Award finalist; and founding editor of StringTown Press. She teaches creative writing at Eastern Washington University and is associate director of Willow Springs Editions, Eastern’s student-run literary press.
